Shalisha Erenberg

Born in Chicago, IL

Shalisha Erenberg’ s formal training began at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago where she studied drawing and painting. She also studied painting and ceramics at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan for two summers. The high point in her art education was studying painting at the University of Chicago with Vera Klement, a well-known 1960’ s figurative abstractionist.

Shalisha entered her professional career when she won a Blue Ribbon in the Youth Division at the first Annual Port Clinton Art Fair in 1984. She has exhibited her paintings at the Flat Iron Arts Building in addition to various small venues around Chicago. Her largest exhibition to date was the one-woman art show at the Northbrook Public Library.
