Artist Statement

I was born in Charleston, Illinois. As a child I was obsessed with copying images of birds and fishes. After detours in the study of medicine and philosophy I decided to dedicate my professional life to painting. Painting, for me, is a direct link into the modus operandi or soul of the individual. I try not to hold anything back. If I have a weakness, strength, interest, personal experience, dreams or simply thoughts, I will wholly explore it. As a process of continual exploration, I hope that my work becomes a gateway, opening the boundaries of experience until I have nothing left to understand.
