Ginny Sykes

Born in Chicago, IL

Artist Ginny Sykes resides in Chicago and exhibits in the US and internationally. Her work includes painting, performance, installation and public art.

Sykes has completed over 40 public art works including On the Wings of Water, a permanent glass tile mural at O’Hare airport.

Sykes has taught in both the Museum and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She received an honor award from the Illinois chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, and has been a Ragdale fellow. Her work is included in the publications A Guide to Chicago Murals, Urban Art Chicago, and The Chicago Public Art Guide.
